Our Model

How We're Structured. How We Engage.

Our Commitment

Every engagement is designed to grow your team's acumen through weekly reviews, structured knowledge transfer, and frameworks your team keeps and reuses indefinitely.

OUR STANDARD

Every principal has personally led the type of engagement they are delivering, not just advised on it from the outside. This is not a credential claim. It is a hiring standard.

Our Model

Small teams of proven executives, not large pyramids of junior resources billed at senior rates, and not advice that creates ongoing dependency.

Our Promise

Observable results within 90 days. Your team more capable at close than at the start. Full transparency throughout.

CORE LEADERSHIP. SENIOR BENCH

The principals profiled below lead every AntePartners engagement. Where additional capacity is required across our five practice areas, we draw from a vetted bench of senior practitioners - each with comparable institutional depth, each meeting AntePartners' zero-junior-staff standard. You engage our people; our people engage only peers. References for bench practitioners are available upon request.

"Mat has operated in the front office, in operations, and in technology at each of the institution types he advises. That combination is genuinely uncommon."
- COLLEAGUE, ERNST & YOUNG FINANCIAL SERVICES ADVISORY

CAREER

Mat Small is the Managing Partner of AntePartners. His 30-year career spans front office trading, operations, and technology, three functions he has led in each of the institution types AntePartners serves: global banks, a major US exchange, and a large GSE. His traded product experience covers fixed income, mortgage-backed securities, equities, warrants, and derivatives.

At Citicorp, Mat managed multiple aspects of MBS trading in New York before relocating to Frankfurt for two years to run the European Warrants and Derivatives businesses, then to London to lead cross-business transformation programs across European and global markets. At the American Stock Exchange, based between Stockholm and New York, he led the design and delivery of the exchange's next-generation electronic trading platform and subsequently restructured the technology organization, reducing a $168 million annual budget by 24% over 16 months.

At Fannie Mae as Senior Vice President, Mat led the largest transformation program in the firm's history: redesigning all capital markets business processes for real-time trade management, implementing a new trading platform, replacing the securities accounting infrastructure, outsourcing operations, and establishing an enterprise data strategy. Accounting close cycles compressed from weeks to days; the analytics platform methodology was subsequently replicated across multiple enterprise initiatives.

In professional services, he served as Partner at both Capco and Ernst & Young Financial Services Advisory, advising C-suite and board clients on transformation, regulatory governance, and risk frameworks. At AntePartners his work includes regulatory health assessments, model risk framework design, enforcement action remediation, program turnaround, and fractional C-suite leadership. He has worked on engagements in the US, UK, Germany, and Sweden.

"Tony built the system that became the industry standard for real-time fixed income trading. That's not a consulting credential, that's an engineering one."
- COLLEAGUE, FINANCIAL SERVICES TECHNOLOGY

Career

Tony Mazza is a Principal at AntePartners with more than 30 years across financial services operations, compliance, and technology. His career spans capital markets technology, AML/KYC compliance, business process design, OMS and EMS implementation, and regulatory remediation. He is a New York licensed attorney, which he applies directly to AntePartners' banking and regulatory compliance practice, including SOC/SAS and BCBS compliance work.

Earlier in his career, Tony co-founded a software engineering firm that developed a real-time fixed income securities trading solution, including custom inventory management and Federal Reserve clearing functions, that became the de facto industry standard for SAS-based trading. The firm was subsequently acquired by ADP. He co-holds three technology patents from this work.

As Senior Vice President of a government contracting firm, Tony led client engagements involving large-scale system implementations at Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, E*Trade, JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, UBS, Nomura, and Citadel. He subsequently served as Managing Director of a regional consulting firm, leading financial analysis and quantitative assessments within the Business Due Diligence practice, and as Chief Operating Officer of an international technology firm specializing in enterprise-grade networking solutions.

At AntePartners, Tony's engagements draw on his combined background in commercial financial technology, including OMS, EMS, and middle office operations, and his regulatory compliance experience in AML/KYC, portfolio quantitative assessment, and business process modeling. His legal background adds a dimension to regulatory work that is uncommon in technology-focused consulting.

Tony holds a JD, an MBA, and an MS in Cybersecurity. He has authored numerous professional articles.
